Vintage 1980s Milk Glass Beads with

Katherine Kornblau Pendant

VN665FB40

Fully knotted on white silk, these 1980’s 8mm round milk glass beads support a Katherine Kornblau pendant.

Katherine Kornblau was born in 1968 and her award-winning designs reflect her international education and multi-cultural interests.  Her New York business grew from her little red wagon on Fire Island to her Madison Avenue studio, where she designs for a global clientele of cultural institutions.

Each design is thoughtfully crafted in NYC by a team of skilled craftswomen.  The pendant is created with a central trailed glass cabochon in a floral yellow and green design, highlighted in gold.  This is set in a goldtone clasp with claw-held faceted glass satellite beads giving movement to the design.  The necklace measures 62cms (25 inches).

There is no clasp for ease of wearing – it just slips over the head!  There is no visible damage to the beads or pendant, and is an excellent and striking example of artist design jewellery.
