Signs of Spring

The first touches of spring colours…. Gold, brown, pale green and snowdrop white…  This lovely, layered brass buckle from the Art Deco period is superb quality and intricate in design.

The buckle is constructed from etched individual scallop shells of shining brass, welded securely together to make the shape of a luxurious bow.  It is signed on the back with a maker’s number mark on each section.

This striking necklace has three strings of dark grey freshwater pearls interspaced with dyed lime green daisy agate smooth beads and mixed fawn, white and brown carved beads and occasional gold galvanised glass Miyuki bead spacers.

The strings graduate in length from the shortest at 62cms (24.5 inches) to the longest at 75cms (29.5 inches).   The buckle measures 8cms (just over 3 inches) long, and 5cms (2 inches) at its widest point.

Buckle necklaces are designed to have the buckle ‘clasp’ worn at the side front.

The necklace is sold with a pair of gold-plated drop earrings made from matching pearls and gold faceted beads.
