Peach Freshwater Baroque Coin Pearls

and Turquoise Howlite Beads

PP343S24SET

Fully knotted on silk, this is a string of peach freshwater baroque coin pearls and turquoise howlite beads, with cut glass spacers.

These freshwater pearls originate from China and measure 12-15mm, varying a little due to their unusual shape.  These are referred to as coin pearls because they are nucleated with a coin-shaped bead but when they are being coated, the freshwater oysters do not necessarily coat them evenly, hence the unusual shapes and surface unevenness; this makes each pearl unique.

They are strung alternating with round 12mm turquoise howlite beads, and small cut glass spacers.  The necklace length is 49cms (just over 19 inches) and has 14 peach coin pearls and 14 howlite beads.

The ring bolt clasp is stamped 925 silver rose gilt.  It opens by pulling back the trigger, to reveal an opening into which you hook the ring, before releasing the trigger.  It is very secure.

The necklace is sold with a matching pair of pearl & howlite drop earrings, on rose gold silver gilt hook-backs, for pierced ears.
