Bronze Freshwater Baroque Coin Pearls

and Dyed Banded Agate Beads

PP205S21SET

Fully knotted on silk, this is a string of bronze freshwater baroque coin pearls and fuchsia pink dyed banded agate beads, with garnet spacers.

These freshwater pearls originate from China and measure 15-18mm, varying a little due to their unusual shape.  These are referred to as coin pearls because they are nucleated with a coin-shaped bead but when they are being coated, the freshwater oysters do not necessarily coat them evenly, hence the unusual shapes and surface unevenness; this makes each pearl unique.

They are strung alternating with round 15mm faceted banded agate beads, dyed bright fuchsia pink, and small irregular garnets.  This necklace is a bright contrast of the dark pearls and the shocking pink agates.

The necklace length is 48cms (19 inches) and has 11 bronze coin pearls and 8 agate beads.

The ring bolt clasp is stamped 925 silver.  It opens by pulling back the trigger, to reveal an opening into which you hook the silver ring, before releasing the trigger.  It is very secure.

The necklace is sold with a matching pair of bronze coin pearl drop earrings, on silver-plated hook-backs, for pierced ears.
