Fully knotted on silk, this is a set of pale peach freshwater coin cultured pearls.
They have a gold overtone and a very good lustre (the surface shine) and beautiful, pale pink to gold colour. These freshwater pearls originate from China and come from freshwater mussels. Known as coin pearls because they are nucleated on a coin shaped bead.
The pearls measure 10-12mm. The necklace length is 46cms (18 inches) and has 37 pearls.
The toggle clasp is 925 silver gilt. It opens by pushing the T-bar sideways through the loop. It is very easy to open and close but is very secure.
The set is completed with a pair of matching drop earrings with gold-plated hook backs for pierced ears.
