Pale Pink Freshwater Biwa Pearls & Cube Crystals

FW519S34SET

Fully knotted on silk, this is a set of very pale magnolia pink biwa, cultured freshwater pearls alternating with cube crystal beads.

The pearls have a gold overtone and excellent lustre (the surface shine).  These freshwater pearls are the flat oblong shape because they are named after Lake Biwa in Japan, where biwa pearls were originally nucleated using slivers of bamboo (biwa means bamboo).   Many Biwa pearls are now produced in China.

This necklace is a string of pale magnolia pink biwa pearls, each measuring approximately 12-15mms long and alternating 4mm cube pale peach crystals.  The necklace length is 46cms (18 inches) and has 18 pearls.

The silver lobster claw clasp has a 2-inch extension chain, with a cube crystal pendant, to lengthen the necklace, if required.  It is very secure.

The necklace is sold with a matching pair of pearl and crystal drop earrings, on silver-plated hook-backs, for pierced ears.
