Honey Rose Pink Baroque Edisons

ED749S35SET

Fully knotted on silk, this is a set of honey pink, baroque, cultured, freshwater Edison pearls.

Named Edison in the West, after the inventor of the lighthouse light, because they are so shiny!  In the East they are known as ‘Starburst’ pearls.  They have a gold overtone and good lustre (the surface shine). These freshwater baroque (which means ‘not round’) pearls originate from China, where the oysters are nucleated using the same method as South Sea pearls.

The pink shade is natural and one of the rarest colours of pearl.  Only freshwater creatures can produce the pink range of colours naturally.

The pearls measure from 8-10mm long.  The necklace length is 46cms (18 inches) and has 41 pearls.

The lobster claw clasp is silver gilt and has a 5cm (2 inch) extension chain.

The necklace is sold with a matching pair of drop earrings with matching pearls, on gold-plated hook backs, for pierced ears.
