Fully knotted on silk, this is a set of dove grey, striated freshwater pearls.
They have a gold overtone and good lustre (the surface shine). These freshwater pearls originate from China. This necklace is an unusual string of soft dove grey striated off-round pearls measuring approximately 6mms.
The surface striations are natural to these pearls. They alternate with tiny dusky pink aurora borealis glass bugle beads. The photos cannot do justice to the soft dove grey colour of these pearls, which shine more peacock colours in artificial light.
The necklace length is 57cms (22.5 inches) and has 57 pearls. The clasp is a silver gilt bolt ring.
The necklace set is completed with a pair of drop earrings in matching pearls with gold-plated hook backs for pierced ears
