Vintage 1930’s Pressed Swirl Glass Beads

Strung on nylon-coated steel jewellery wire, these are 1930’s pressed swirl glass geometric beads.

Each bead has been moulded into shape individually. These are often from Czechoslovakia and each bead is unique.

In this necklace the beads are made of a mixture of dark red and grey glass swirled together, whilst still molten, then pressed into geometric shapes.  The beads are elongated pyramid shapes with alternating matching rectangular beads and tiny gold spacers.

The larger pyramid beads measure 20mm and the smaller, rectangular beads measure 10mm.   The necklace measures 69cms (27 inches).

The clasp is the original brass barrel screw clasp.  However, the necklace can easily be dropped over the head without opening the clasp, making it easy to wear.

The necklace is now re-wired and secure and in excellent condition.  There is no visible damage to the beads and is an excellent and striking example of this style necklace.

The necklace is sold with a matching pair of glass bead drop earrings, on ball and post findings with butterfly backs.
