Vintage 1930’s Glass Beads
Strung on nylon-coated steel jewellery wire, this necklace is made from 1930’s pressed swirl glass beads in a very unusual shade of teal green.
Each main large bead has been made of a swirl of acid yellow glass around the centre and these are spaced between elongated teal green beads. These are often from Czechoslovakia and each bead is created individually, so they are all unique.
The beads are of different sizes and shapes from small round 5-10mm beads to long 350mm ones. The necklace measures 47cms (18.5 inches).
The clasp is the original brass barrel screw. The necklace is now re-wired and secure and in excellent condition.
There is no visible damage to the beads and is an excellent and striking example of beautiful vintage glass beads.
The necklace is sold with a matching pair of long glass bead drop earrings, with silver gilt ball and posts with butterfly back, for pierced ears.
