Large White Peanut Freshwater Pearls & Lapis Lazuli Beads

Fully knotted on silk, this is a set of large white, cultured, freshwater peanut pearls, alternating with natural blue lapis lazuli beads.

The pearls have a silver overtone and very good lustre (the surface shine).   These freshwater pearls originate from China and are called peanut pearls because of their shape.  They are created naturally inside the mollusc, when two beads are put in to nucleate two pearls and they join up, or twin together.

This necklace is a string of large, white peanut pearls each measuring approximately 20mms long and they alternate with round 8mm and 6mm beads of natural blue lapis lazuli.  The necklace length is 56cms (22 inches) and has 17 large peanut pearls.

The smooth ball press button clasp is marked 925 silver.  It opens by pressing the button, to reveal an opening into which you push the silver bullet.  It is very secure.

The set is sold with a pair of drop earrings with matching pearls and beads, on silver ball and post earrings with butterfly backs, for pierced ears.
