Vintage Mock Scottish Agate Glass Beads and

Silver Oval Freshwater Pearls

The pearls originate from China.  The vintage glass has been moulded in flattened oval shapes and varnished with mottled dark pastel shades, to replicate the colours of Scottish agates; they date from the 1950’s or possibly earlier.

The silver oval pearls alternate with the beads to add a different shine and texture.  This set consists of a necklace, bracelet, and matching drop earrings.

The pearls measure approximately 8mm and the beads are 18mm. The necklace length is 66cms (26 inches).  It has 45 alternating beads and pearls.

The original silver tone claw clasp is set with a green bead.  It opens by squeezing the catch and pushing it into the mounted bead end and released in the opposite fashion.

The bracelet measures 20cms (8 inches) and has 14 pearls and beads.  It closes with a silver lobster trigger clasp and 4cm (1.5 inch) extension chain.

The set is sold with a pair of drop earrings with matching beads and pearls, on silver-plated hook backs, for pierced ears.
