Vintage Mock Scottish Agate Glass Beads and

White Teardrop Freshwater Pearls

The pearls originate from China.  The vintage glass has been moulded in elongated oval shapes and varnished with mottled dark pastel shades, to replicate the colours of Scottish agates; they date from the 1950’s or possibly earlier.

The white teardrop pearls alternate with the beads to add a different shine and texture.  This set consists of a necklace, bracelet, and matching drop earrings.

The pearls measure approximately 10-12mm

and the beads are 15mm. The necklace length is 102cms (just over 41inches) and is designed to wrap twice around the neck. It has 69 alternating beads in groups of 3 with the pearls.

The ring bolt clasp is 925 silver.  It opens by pulling back the trigger, to reveal an opening into which you hook the silver ring, before releasing the trigger.  It is very secure.

The bracelet measures 20cms (8 inches) and has 14 pearls and beads.  It closes with a silver lobster trigger clasp and 4cm (1.5 inch) extension chain.

The set is sold with a pair of drop earrings with matching beads and pearls, on silver-plated hook backs, for pierced ears.
