Pale blue with a striking navy edge, this patterned enamel buckle bridges the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.… a stunning example of champlevé enamel work, dating from the early 20th century.
This buckle is most likely French in origin and has extraordinary details and colours. Enamelled on white metal (possibly European silver), in a wonderful floral and star design.
A simple but opulent statement piece with three strings of knotted (on silk) beads and freshwater pearls; the beads are aqua marines, vintage green glass, dyed agate, and tiny cut garnets, alternating with 6mm white oval freshwater pearls.
The strings measure from 61cms (24 inches) to 71cms (28 inches). The buckle measures just under 7cms (just under 3 inches) long, and 4cms (just under 2 inches) wide.
The necklace is sold with a pair of silver-plated hook back drop earrings made from matching pearls, and beads.
