This extraordinary black lacquer buckle dates from the 1980s Art Deco revival and echoes the clean lines of that period of architectural design.
Inset with gold metal circular patterns of random raindrops this buckle was made in Czechoslovakia and is in pristine condition. An opulent statement piece with three strings of knotted smooth and faceted black onyx beads. T
he two outside strings are complemented with vintage fine blown gold glass lantern shaped beads, which match exactly the golden raindrops and striated patterns of the gold finish on the buckle itself.
The strings graduate in length from the shortest at 81cms (32 inches) to the longest at 89cms (35 inches). The central string is knotted in groups of three smooth black onyx beads. The buckle measures 10cms (4 inches) long, and 5cms (2 inches) wide.
The necklace is sold with a matching 22cm bracelet, with a silver gilt bolt ring clasp; and a pair of drop earrings made from matching black onyx and blown gold glass beads with gold-plated hook backs for pierced ears.
