White Baroque Freshwater Coin
and Off-Round Pearls
They have a silver overtone and excellent lustre (the surface shine). These unusual freshwater pearls originate from China.
This necklace is a striking string of white baroque coin pearls, so-called because they are nucleated with flat coin-shaped beads; some coin pearls do not form an exactly round shape, but have flashes of nacre protruding from the pearls, like comet tails, making them interesting baroque shapes.
In this necklace they alternate with white high lustre off-round 6/7mm pearls; the coin pearls measure from 12-15mm. The necklace length is 56cms (22 inches) and has 51 pearls.
The ring bolt clasp is 925 silver. It opens by pulling back the trigger, to reveal an opening into which you hook the silver ring, before releasing the trigger. It is very secure.
The necklace comes with a matching 20cm matching bracelet with a silver lobster and ring clasp and a 4cm extension chain.
The necklace is also sold with a matching pair of coin pearl drop earrings, on silver-plated hook-backs, for pierced ears.
