A touch of sparkle and a dust of frost on these fragrant pink summer roses… this lovely feminine silvertone buckle set with diamanté stones adds glamour and lightness to this summery necklace.
Two delicate moulded satin glass roses with faded pale pink petals are the centre piece of this glamourous 1950’s Hollywood buckle. The pair of glass roses are set on a complex silvertone buckle constructed in sections and studded all over with diamanté cut glass sparkles for a red carpet glimmer that typified the Hollywood style of the era.
The buckle is suspended on two rows of pale pink freshwater pearls, dyed to match the rose petals, and alternating with moulded glass rose bud beads in toning pinks with pink glass and silver Miyuki galvanised glass spacers. There are occasional pavé disco ball beads that glitter in the light and add an extra sparkle to this glamourous unique buckle necklace.
The strings measure 75cms (just over 29 inches) and 88cms (34.5 inches). The buckle measures 8cms (just over 3 inches) long, and 4cms (just under 1.5 inches) at its widest point.
The buckle has been gently squeezed shut, so the necklace doesn’t open when worn and it can be easily put on over the head. Buckle necklaces are designed for the buckle ‘clasp’ to be worn at the side front. In this case the necklace will hang best with the smaller side of the buckle at the top.
The necklace is sold with a pair of silver-plated hook-back drop earrings made from matching pearls, glass and disco ball beads.
